An Evening with Scott Russell Sanders
FARM-Bloomington, February 23rd, 2009, 5 pm to 7 pm

Chef Dan Orr has graciously opened FARM-Bloomington for an exclusive dinner-theater presentation featuring Scott Russell Sanders reading from his latest book, A Conservationist Manifesto.

The evening includes a personally prepared array of Dan's unique and mouth-watering tapas, all configured using locally-produced ingredients (see menu below). Musical interludes by singer-songwriter Tom Roznowski and his band The Living Daylights are included along with samplings of award-winning Indiana craft beers from the Brewers of Indiana Guild, including Upland and Bloomington Brewing Company, plus a selection of Creekbend vintage wines from Oliver Winery. Momentary (and concise) interruptions will occur here and there by various dignitaries, and of course a reading by the author.

A limited advance of 100 copies of A Conservationist Manifesto will be available for purchase. After his reading, the author will repair to the "Root Cellar" to sign books and offer a bit of hope for this beautiful planet that is our home.

A portion of all proceeds will benefit the land preservation and restoration programs of Sycamore Land Trust.

Tickets are $50 and are available at Bloomingfoods and online from the Sunrise Box Office. A limited number of discounted tickets are available to WFIU and Sycamore Land Trust members. (Please check websites for details.)
